Toner Continued, 

I use this toner on and off to fight dark spots I had from my severe acne days. Just a large toner pad and a swipe is all I need. I do switch on and off with this stuff because it is quite potent, 

Also I transferred some to a mini mist bottle so I didn't have to use so many toner pads. Do try this! It's much more cost effective and easier application. 

5. Rose Water and Decollatage 

Sadly after some trials and tribulation I discovered this facial water breaks me out. Anyone else suffer from this. I really wanted to incorporate it into my routine but I guess skin just does not agree. I do spray this on my arms and decollatage for some moisture and freshness at the end of the night.

6. Facial Oil. As inspired by Korean skin care i learned the importance of a good booster or serum this one is by Boots from Target and smells delightful without feeling too heavy on the skin. I pat this onto my face lightly and smooth over my entire neck. Remember to moisturize your neck! so important and often neglected. No one wants wrinkles too early. 

7. Eye cream. I love eye cream. There I said I do. It makes me feel like i'm doing something really good for my skin. I switch between these two every other day. Acure is from Target and is great for moisture. My eyes are always well rested and hydrated in the morning. Burt's Bees is also good when I need some brightness after about a month of using this stuff I noticed a difference in the color of my under eye circles. truly amazing. 

9. Is a face cream. Which I forgot to picture but my face lotion is very simple and hydrates but not over done so my face isn't oily in the morning. shout out to my oily skin fam. 

10. and last in the daytime there is nothing better you can do for your skin then put on some sunscreen I use Neutrogena 60 it works great and blends right into the skin.

Skin Care 2017

As inspired by Glossier recent activity on Youtube I'll talking through routine this year us working well for my acne prone oily skin. Yes, you heard me right both of those combined. Oh the cards I have been dealt. okay enough 

Korean Skin care has triggered a fascination for me. 10 steps before bed sounds like a dream. I know only I would say that but I really do enjoy the end of the night routine I have it almosts lulls me to sleep as I perform these meticulus tasks like toning and patting on eye cream. 

Now, on to the skin care!

1. cleansing, I like to do a double cleanse with a micellar water and a foaming cleanser which I will get to later. This micellar water gets my makeup off really well and I like to use a large toning pad every night. Not drying and does not strip your face entirely. 

2. Foaming Cleanser. As I said I like to double cleanse so I use 3 pumps every night to completely cleanse my face of any leftover makeup from the day. Then I pat dry with a clean towel.

3. Exfoliation. I used to exfoliate everyday. Horrible for your skin I've now realized so I cleanse everyday and exfoliate 3x a week depending on my skins state of affairs.

4. Toning. Toner is very dependant on the type of day ahead of me and time of day, If it's the morning I use the PIXI Wakeup mist that gives my skin a nice smooth texture with a hint of vitamin C. What's not to like? It's also great if you love a dewy look which I am alllll about at the moment. 

Hello and welcome back to the blog. Starting a new thing to the blog called, as you read above, "MOOD OF THE MONTH" every month I'll be posting my mood as in what fashion trends I've been in the mood for and beauty as well. Basically a favorites of the month, but a bit cooler I like to think. Anyway above are some outfits from the start of the year to the top left about a week ago. Times have changed, seasons shifted and now here in California Ladies and Gentlemen SPRING is upon us. And let me tell you I've been waiting months for this, although the California Winter will always have a place in my heart Spring brings such joy to me. I've had enough of my thick coats and such and I'm on to new and cool trends like the ruffles tops that I can't get enough of.

These ruffle tops paired with a tomboy type of look give this the cool girl stamp of approval. Oh god "cool girl" someone call ELLE here people I think I've finally become a fashion journalist. I digress, these two snaps from Pinterest are just the right amount of on trend mixed with french chic to me. Yes, FRENCH CHIC. I've turned a new leaf everyone, I've gone from an endless hate relationship with my skin fighting againest it to loving and nurturing the skin I have. No this love did not pop up over night although I will say that the sudden downfall of zits appearing on my poor face has given me more of an ego boost than any amount makeup could. 

Rachel Nguyen.

How have I not heard of her before? She is essentially the Asian French girl of the modern day. WIth her perfect skin and amazing sense of style she was honestly just the breath of fresh air and inspiration I needed when I was in a hell of a fashion rut. You know what I'm talking the rut, when nothing seems to look good on you and no matter how long you stare into that wardrobe of yours you know damn well you'll probably end up in that perfect pair of jeans and a t-shirt because fashion is just too much for a busy girl like yourself. Well we're in this together friend and Rachel Nguyen is our inspiration for the new world of fashion. Below are a couple more pictures I took inspiration from and a little tumbler post that couldn't be more relate able. 

Phew that was a long one I know. Bare with me. Here's to the new month of April. May it bring some inspiration to us all, *cough cough* New Years Resolutions anyone?

Finding good pieces in department stores can be tricky when your looking for something on trend but I've found that JCPENNEY does a fab job of having on trend merchandise all the time. Seriously I think half of my closet is Jcpenney NO SHAME! Today I found this floral bomber jacket from the brand JEANS by BUFFALO. This caught my eye immediately in the store and I was like ok have to have it now. I got it for 35 dollars which is honestly so much cheaper than an online store like ASOS or something of that nature would sell it for. So check out those department stores! You'll never what you can find until you take a look for yourself!
